 Placing an order
Placing an order with us couldn't be easier, simply add the items you wish to purchase to your shopping cart by clicking the 'add to cart' button, a running total for your order will appear at the top of the page.
You can view a more detailed summary of your order by clicking the running total which will allow you to view your cart contents where you can adjust the quantity of, or remove items.
You will also be able to set the delivery destination for the order and see the cost of the carriage.
*Please note that once you get to the checkout you cannot change the delivery destination. You must return to the cart to make any changes and recalculate the shipping cost.* |

Checkout
Once you are happy with the contents of your cart you will be taken to our secure checkout facility to enter your billing and delivery information.
Once at the checkout you will notice that the address at the top of the page has changed, don't worry this is because our checkout is provided by our hosting company KNM-Websolutions using fully secured 128 bit encryption to offer you piece of mind that your data is safe.
There is a site seal displayed on the secure pages where you can verify the identity of the site.
We will not ask you for your card details, this is all handled securely once you have completed our checkout by the payment processor and as such we never see your card number.
At the present time payments are processed Paypal. A Paypal account is NOT required to use this service.
Please ensure that the billing details you enter at our checkout match those of the cardholder. If the information we get back from the payment processor do not match those you previously entered your order may be delayed until your identity can be verified. |

Delivery
All deliveries are insured and as such will require a signature on receipt, tracking information will be supplied via email upon dispatch.
The majority of UK orders are dispatched using a Royalmail nextday service but please allow 3-5 working days. If after this time you still haven't received your order please contact us and we will investigate the whereabouts of the package.
For orders dispatched to non UK destinations delivery times will vary depending on your location but we would hope that most will be received within 4-10 working days. International orders are also insured and will require a signature on receipt.
The carriage costs for all orders are calculated on total shipment weight. In some cases your order may arrive in separate shipments but you will still only be charged by the total weight of the order.

Returns
If in the unlikely event that your order reaches you in a less than perfect condition due to damage in transit it is your responsibilty to notify us within 7 days of reciept.
Once you have contacted us with the details of damage we would ask that you return the complete package to us, once we receive it we will dispatch a replacement and credit to cover the return shipping. |

Safe use of our products
How to enjoy clean, safe use of your Winelight....
With a small funnel, fill your clean empty glass bottle with any high quality, clean burning lamp oil. (do not use other fuels and solvents such as Kerosene, Alcohol, Acetone as they are all unsafe and are NOT RECOMMENDED.
For a nice even 'candle-size' flame with a minimum of smoke, carefully align the wick even with the top of the hole in your winelight and trim any frays or threads. To attain an optimal flame it is important to keep your bottle nearly full of lamp oil.
Insert the winelight, wick first into the bottle making sure the wick is well into the oil.
Allow 35-40 minutes for the wick to absorb the lamp oil before lighting.
Like any other lamp or candle, your winelight may smoke for an instant when first lit. If any smoking continues you have the wick too high or are not using a clean burning lamp oil
NEVER leave any Winelight® or candle unattended.
If smoking does persist, extinguish the flame and allow the winelight to cool. Then adjust the wick by gently pulling the wick down. Or if the flame is too small twist gently and push the wick up a small amount. Once you have a proper 'candle-sized' flame any smoking has to be related to the fuel you are using.
Burning flames/candles/oil lamps should never be left unattended.
They should also not be used in close proximity to flammable materials such as curtains.
Care should always be used with any open flame.
Do not use around flammable materials or children.

We respect your privacy and will only use the personal information that you supply us when using our website.
When you place an order we collect your name, e-mail address and mailing address information. We may record which products you are interested in and which products you purchase.
This enables us to process your orders efficiently and to improve the products and service that we are offering. We do not collect you card information, this is done by the payment processor we don't even see your card details.
We may use this information to inform you of any new products or special offers that we think may be of interest to you or about changes to our website.
If you do not want us to send you this information there will be a link in the email you receive where you can unsubscribe from future mailings. Alternatively contact us.
We will not sell, trade or rent your personal information to other companies nor will we share any of the information we collect about you to third parties at any time.
In accordance with Data Protection Act 1998, we may ask for proof of your identity before disclosing certain information to you.
Any changes or revisions to our Privacy Policy will be posted on our website.
